Chase Tactical Warrior Assault Systems PC

October 20, 2014 by Jonathan Wade 1 Comment

When it comes to plate carriers, I always get excited to review them. I had the opportunity to tryout a Warrior Assault System DCS Base Plate Carrier from Chase Tactical. Chase Tactical’s Fabrics, Webbing, Plastic Hardware and Threads are treated at source to deliver the lowest I.R. Signature possible. Made with 1000D cordura, the webbing is also genuine US Mil Spec and will stand the test of time. The triple M4 mag pouch from Chase Tactical fits the magazines tightly and securely

The first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box is the inside padding. Made with 3D mesh padding, the plate carrier is very comfortable. It actually let air go through it and keeps you cool even in hot temperature. This is the type of PC is would’ve love to have in Afghanistan! Although it is a bit thick, you can easily wear a backpack over it without being too uncomfortable.

Another great feature is the handles on the cummerbund. It makes it very easy to remove the PC even when wearing gloves. They are stitched to three different places and are holding pretty well. I did try to pull them very hard to see the resistance and they resisted easily.

The PRC-148 pouch is very well made and greatly padded, adding to the PC comfortability. The radio fits perfectly in the pouch. I like having my radio close to me so I can easily change channels between different callsigns.

Adjusting the vest is fairly easy. It’s held together by a buckle and Velcro and the shoulder pads are also made with 3d mesh padding.

All in all, the Warrior Assault System DCS Base Plate Carrier is a solid PC for its price. Here’s a video from Chase Tactical showing some armor configuration.

The Warrior Assault System DCS Base Plate Carrier is available on Chase Tactical Website in 7 different colors (OD Green, Multicam, Coyote, Black, Ranger Green, A-TACS FG and A-TACS AU) for $249.97 (in special as we speak for $207.97).
