VZ Grips – From rifles to pistols – Shot Show 2017

VZ Grips

It’s easy to look at my posts and see and think I favor veteran owned products, especially Marine projects.Well that is completely true, but I also favor local companies. VZ Grips out of Tallahassee is just a stone’s throw away from where I live and breath. I’m familiar with VZ, especially their CZ 75 grips, but didn’t know until Shot Show 2017 they were in my backyard.

Most people are familiar with VZ, they make high quality and incredibly functional grips for CZ’s, 1911s, revolvers and more. What’s new is their AR 15 series of grips and rails systems. Stopping by their booth I was pumped to see some beautiful keymod and Mlok options made by VZ.

VZ Grips Rails

VZ grips rail systems are superbly thin, and quite lightweight. I could wrap my mitts around the entire rail system. The gun in the middle had one of the lightest weight rails I’ve ever handled. The Mlok and keymod options are great choices for a lightweight build.

VZ Grips

What I first glossed over was the VZ grips manufactured rail covers. These rails covers fill in your slots on Mlok or keymod. They protect the rail slots and give a more comfortable grip. These are functional pieces of gear that are coated with VZ’s standard grip surface to increase your grip on your rifle.

VZ Grips

Moving to the back of the rifle I was happy to stumble across a high-quality AR grip attached made and designed by VZ grips. Gone is the A2 nub. Instead, you have a straight grip with or without a small pinky rest at the bottom of the grip. The grips are coated aggressively with checkering and it really does grab your hand.

All of these different AR 15 options for the are of course functional. They also keep that standard VZ grips look. Its aggressive, attractive, and unique. Check out VZ grips here.
