Snugpak Jungle Bag Reviewed

August 25, 2014 by Max Carter 5 Comments

Snugpak

All Military guys and gals love their loadout to be as light as possible, so when something so small and light as the Snugpak Jungle Bag brings such comfort, it’s a must-have. The Snugpak Jungle Bag packs away so small it fits in the palm of your hand.

Now, having all this is no good unless the bag is useful for sleeping in, but thankfully the Snugpak Jungle Bag also passes the test here. There is also the added bonus of a rollaway mosquito net that can be zipped over your face, which seals the bag and stops you waking up with lumps and bumps all over your face.

The bag is square in shape, meaning that it can also double as a quilt depending on the temperatures. There is an integrated pocket on the inside of the bag to store small items.

The recommended temperature range for this bag is 35-40°f. I have found at under 35°f you need a liner as it gets too uncomfortable or, depending on how you are dressed, you can just add or remove layers as needed. I used my Snugpak Jungle Bag mainly in tropical conditions in West Africa and found it to be a great piece of kit. When on long marches through the jungle the less weight you are carrying the better, plus the mosquito net is a life saver.

For anybody traveling  or operating in tropical or warm regions, I would highly recommend the Snugpak Jungle Bag. As with all Snugpak gear, it is top of the range.
