Nemo Equipment Ditto: Slim Upcycled Wallet ready for Adventure

Nemo Equipment Ditto: Slim Upcycled Wallet ready for Adventure

During our time at the 2017 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market we took a look at the Nemo Equipment booth. While we were waiting for our meeting to begin they had samples of their minimalist Ditto wallet on the counter free for attendees to take. While these are not the primary products that Nemo focuses on, they make these from manufacturing seconds of their tent material. Instead of disposing of the leftover material they use it to make these wallets; pretty cool idea to maximize the use of their tent material.

At first, I was a little unsure of the unique design with the partial stretch cover, but I wanted to give it a chance. I carried the wallet for several weeks and needless to say, it grew on me. The partial stretch cover works flawlessly after you get a few repetitions under your belt. One cool thing about this wallet and other minimalist wallets is that you are forced to only carry what’s absolutely needed.

From the Nemo Equipment website:

Our Ditto™ program was born in 2008 when we started upcycling scraps leftover from our tent designs, along with donations of production waste from other partners to create unique and cleverly designed products for daily living.

The Ditto™ Slim Wallet is a minimalist two-sided sleeve design that keeps your cards and cash securely low profile. It’s ultra-slim design fits easily into nearly any pants or gear pocket without adding bulk. Use one side for folded bills and the other for cards and ID. Ditto™ in your daily life is a little nod to your love of the outdoors and desire to reuse rather than discard.
