Grey Ghost Throwback Wax Canvas backpack

October 19, 2017 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Grey Ghost Throwback Wax Canvas backpack

In the following video I take a closer look at the Grey Ghost Throwback wax canvas backpack. I’ve been using this backpack as my day to day bag while commuting around town, going to local sporting events as well as short day hikes.

Description (courtesy of Grey Ghost)

The Throwback. We took a very popular size pack and based the Throwback off of them. At about 850 Cubic inches, it is the perfect size for a daily carry. We used a waxed canvas material for the body of the bag. This material is very robust and has inherent water resistant features. It will “weather” and age gracefully and build its own character during use. We purposely stayed away from most of the cues that this bag is MIL or LE focused. This bag is LOW profile.

The main compartment is 550 cubic inches in volume and is accessed from the top by a YKK zipper with two pulls with Flatlok cords. Inside the compartment there are two pockets on both sides to hold a water bottle or to organize small items. The front pocket is 300 cubic inches and is accessed by vertical zippers on both sides of the pocket. The interior of the pocket is lined with loop material to allow the user to attach various hook backed pouches and holsters.

The exterior of the pack features a grab handle on the top, two compression straps on both sides of the pack, a bungee attachment to the front and a leather GGG logo under the handle. There is a flap on the front of the Throwback that hides a zippered compartment that will hold a wallet cell phone or like sized items. Available in Black/Olive Drab,Black/Grey,Black with Wolf Grey Buckles & Zippers and Olive Drab/Field Tan.

Dimensions

  • Length-15”
  • Width-9”
  • Depth-6”

The Throwback backpack is available from Grey Ghost for $170.50
