Inland Manufacturing—the Ohio-based company that offers quality reproductions of guns of yore—has unveiled the US Army 1st Infantry Division 100th Anniversary models of two legendary firearms: the Inland M1 Carbine and the 1911A1 pistol.

  • RELATED STORY: Combat Classics – M1 Weapons of WWII

Recognizing the importance of this special anniversary, 1st Infantry Division leadership reached out to Inland for help in creating two models with historical significance, Inland says. By the look of things, they delivered.

The first model picked was the 1944 version of the M1 Carbine. The Inland M1 Carbine shares a lot of the same characteristics as the original Inland carbines. The model features a type 2 barrel band; adjustable rear sights; push button safety; round bolt; and “low wood” walnut stock. The stock is hand-rubbed with oil and engraved with the 1st Infantry Division’s shoulder patch, accomplishments and recognition of the 100-year anniversary. This centennial M1 carbine ships with a 10-round magazine and retails for  $1179.

The second 100th anniversary model is the Inland 1911A1 Government Model pistol in .45 ACP. The gun is patterned after the original 1911 manufactured over 100 years ago, modified in 1924 and then designated the 1911A1. It was used by 1st Infantry Division members longer than any other firearm in the history of the division. The 1st Division Infantry Anniversary 1911A1 Government Model maintains the original “G.I.” configuration with vertical slide serrations, fixed combat sights, GI style grip panels and a lanyard loop. Engraved on the right side of the slide is the 1st Infantry Division shoulder patch, accomplishments, and recognition of the 1917-2017 100-year anniversary. Retail price for this model is $829.
