5.11 Tactical Single Pistol Case

January 25, 2017 by Scott Witner 1 Comment

5.11 Tactical Single Pistol Case

For those of you lucky enough to attend Industry Day at SHOT Show this year and visit the 5.11 Tent, were given a 5.11 Tactical Single Pistol Case. Out of all the swag given out, I have to say this was the best score of all. I’ve never purchased a single pistol case such as this, but after returning home and playing around with loading it out, it is quite handy for several reasons.

Obviously it provides a safe and secure place to store your pistol and spare magazines.

5.11 Tactical Single Pistol Case

The 5.11 Single Pistol Case makes a nice minimalist range bag if you’re just running to your local range for an hour or so. It will hold your pistol, a few spare magazines and a 50 round box of range ammo. If you pre-load your spare mags with range ammo you’ll be good to go for most shooting drills. Forcing yourself to carry less rounds to the range will force you to make your range session that much more productive.

This single pistol case also provides a great place to keep your EDC stored in one place; especially if you’re traveling. If you’re traveling and staying at a hotel, you can use this to store your gun, spare mags, a flashlight and fixed blade or folding knife.  This also goes for those of you that live a minimalist lifestyle and want to keep your EDC stuff stored in a single location that is quick to grab and access.

The exterior of the padded pistol case has a section of material by the grab handles where you can write your name or identification if you choose to do so.

There is also somewhat of a hidden slip pocket located behind the section that holds the spare magazines. Secured with Velcro, when opened exposes a section of foam padding. Again, if you are traveling you could use this ‘hidden’ pocket for extra cash or a small sere kit.
