Rumpl’s Insulated waterproof Ground Cover

Ground Cover

December 14, 2018 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Rumpl makes some of the warmest, coziest blankets around. For a couple of years now, our family has become a total convert. From the original puffy blanket to the Sherpa, Beach Shammy Towels and now the Ground Cover. Often times while at a concert, picnic, camping or just a day at the beach, we find ourselves sitting on the ground. When a camp chair isn’t an option, some type of blanket is preferred. But how many times have you sat on a lawn blanket only to stand up with a wet butt? The new Ground Cover from Rumpl has just the solution.

Made from a 100% waterproof Polyester on the bottom, the Ground Cover will not allow moisture through to the seating surface. Rumpl utilizes a lightweight nylon top fabric which is also coated with a DWR finish to help repel water from above. Sandwiched between these two purposeful fabrics is a 100g 3D hollow fiber synthetic insulation. Which not only helps regulate temperature transfer but provides a bit of cushion for comfort as well. Finally, discreet stake loops are conveniently sewn into the corners to help prevent a fly-away situation should the breeze pick up.

Just recently, we had an opportunity to use the Ground Cover while visiting a beach in Florida. Measuring 50″x70″, it was the perfect size for my wife and I to lay side by side on while soaking up some much-needed vitamin D. The silky smooth nylon top fabric and waterproof bottom made for an easy clean up as sand just popped off when the blanket was picked up. Plus, a handy built-in stuff sack with handle makes transporting the 1.19lb blanket even easier. The Ground Cover is perfect for picnics, concerts, beach days, and camping. I’ve even used it for filming product demos for the Helinox Sunset Chair and Nemo Stargaze Recliner chair.

Check out the Rumpl website for all the new warm and cozy gear.
