Wyldcat Pant by 5.11 Tactical | Country or City Girl?

July 29, 2018 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Wyldcat Pants

The 5.11 Tactical Wyldcat Pants are well-suited for today’s woman, whether she’s a country girl or a city girl. I know because I put them to the test. As a native of Northern Michigan, I’d definitely say I’m a country girl at heart. But, what draws a country-girl into the city?

A.) The chance to temporarily escape family life for a weekend away with girlfriends. B.) The promise of fine dining and shopping beyond the notorious super store. C.) A running event long enough to justify chocolate indulgences not just at the finish, but en route. You guessed it… D.) All of the above.

Wyldcat Pants

There’s no doubt, the Wyldcat pant is ideally suited to suburban life, whether hiking, shopping, watching a football game or shooting at the range. The durable construction yet surprisingly soft fabric stretches to accommodate movement. Multiple utility pockets store and conceal anything from EDC knives to extra AR magazines. The Wyldcat pant provides an easy wash-and-wear, no-fuss look: a winner for any county-girl.

But dare I say, city girl, these pants are also perfectly suited to urban adventures. From the bustling sidewalks to the cramped subway, the Wyldcat Pant is a smart choice. They’ll pull on-and-off through multiple dressing rooms, and will still reign as your favorite pair of pants when you walk out of the store. You can even skip the purse and stash your cell phone, credit cards and keys in the many functional pockets. (As a civilian, you won’t need them for anything tactical in Chicago…) Not only does the Wyldcat pant wear well in specialty boutiques and upper floor cocktail lounges, they’ll stay fresh for a late night stop at the dueling piano bar: a city girl’s dream pant.

Finally, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention, they are an excellent choice for traveling between these two lifestyles. Whether by plane, train or automobile, the Wyldcat pant will dress up or dress down to best suit a day in the life of most American women. The comfort and easy design of these pants make them a first-grab in both the country-girl AND city-girl closet.

Update:  At 5’7”, I typically fit the “average” length. However, these pants do run slightly short – not quite capris, more of a cropped look that falls just above the ankle bone.  I recently ordered another pair in Long and I like the extra length for a slightly different style. The zippered leg provides a nice taper without adding bulk. If you are taller than average, I’d definitely recommend selecting Long.
