The Tuff-Writer Precision Press pen was designed to be the toughest pen out there, designed to withstand high levels of abuse should they be pressed into the role of a self defense tool.
The Precision Press Pen is the ultimate clicky pen. Entirely modular, each component is easily replaceable and made to last a lifetime. The metal body is machined from 6061-T6 Aluminum.
To ensure proper balance the tip is machined out of 303 Stainless Steel and very strong. The clip is pressed out of spring steel and coated for durability and corrosion resistance. It keeps the pen securely fastened and close at hand.
The pen also uses a spacer for allowing fitment of multiple cartridges (Fisher / Foray / Parker) and at its heart, a machined advancing mechanism with a two piece bearing-cam design for silky smooth operation. Removable contrasting black Duron o-rings assist in maintaining a positive grip on the pen when you need it most.
The design features a rounded end and sharply pointed tip, perfect for self-defense use. The pointed end is subtle to avoid attracting undesired attention, there are no aggressive sharp edges. The middle is knurled for a positive grip, and pocket clip helps create a secure hold for an ice pick grip.
The actual writing cartridge is one of the famous “space pen” parts from Fisher Space Pen Company that is pressurized and will write upside down, underwater, or in just about any temperature range. The thixotropic ink is hermetically sealed and pressurized to nearly 35 psi lasts three times longer than a standard ballpoint pen.
With an estimated shelf life of 100 years, the pen writes at altitudes up to 12,500 feet and with operating temperatures from -30 to 250 degrees Fahrenheit (-35 to 120 degrees Celsius).
