The Thyrm SwitchBack for Flashlights: Find Fast, Search Safe, Shoot Straight

The SwitchBack slips over the tail cap of lights like the Surefire EB1 or P2X Fury. It allows several different grip techniques for shooting while activating the light, and allows the shooter to employ the method of their choice. The SwitchBack works with your light and provides a big capability at a little price.

There is a lot of confusion about shooting with lights. The big disconnect is that weapon mounted lights are great for shooting, but they muzzle everything you illuminate when searching. If something makes noise in my house at night, I don’t want to muzzle the wife and kids, the cat I am not so concerned about. Hand held lights are better for searching and allow me search in a situation where I don’t want to draw my gun or to cover a threat and scan my surroundings. Shooting with a flashlight requires an awkward grip to align the flashlight and firearm.

The SwitchBack Flashlight Rings clip to your pocket and lets you rapidly deploy a flashlight for searching or single-hand shooting techniques. You can reorient the flashlight for use with a two-handed grip and still perform reloads and clear malfunctions without having to stow or hang the light.

The SwitchBack Large Flashlight Ring enhances your full-size flashlight, adding a pocket clip, and optimizing ergonomics for searching and shooting. The SwitchBack Large Flashlight Ring mounts between the tailcap and body of your flashlight, making it secure regardless of impact, moisture, and heat/cold changes.

In the following video, Aaron Cowan of Sage Dynamics explains his experience with and tactics for utilizing the SwitchBack 2.0 in low light.

The SwitchBack allows you to deploy flashlights faster, search more safely, and shoot better. You can get your very own Thyrm SwitchBack HERE
