Those who followed some of the releases from SHOT Show 2012 may recall being introduced to the DoubleTap .45. At just over a half inch wide (.665in) the titanium model barely tips the scales at 14oz (unloaded), distinguishing the design as the smallest .45 on the market.
However, over the past year, this Derringer .45 still hadn’t been released for commercial sale. Fortunately for those waiting on the design to come to fruition, the guns are expected to hit sales floors within the next two months. They are scheduled to be released with multiple options: titanium or aluminum frame, and chambered for .45 ACP or 9×19 Luger. MSRP starts at $499 for the aluminum frame model, and $729 for the titanium frame model.
Where do you think the DoubleTap fits in with other pistols already available for the CCW market?
