As a female in the gun writer world, I’m always excited to meet another lady who shares my passions for writing and the shooting sports. Needless to say, I was thrilled when Rachel Hernandez agreed to join the TAG Team. Allow me to introduce our newest member.
As an author and entrepreneur, Rachel is newer to the firearms community. Her interest in the shooting sports stems from her childhood, when she longed for a BB gun as a kid. Unfortunately, due to societal norms, she never really pursued her interest in shooting until she was in her adulthood.
Rachel, like myself, does not have a law enforcement background, nor does she have military experience. Despite that, she has become very passionate about the shooting sports. She aims to educate and inform others by sharing her journey into the gun culture (and the results of her research and the information she’s gleaned from her own experiences). She also seeks to demystify misconceptions about firearms in general, for new female and male shooters, alike.
Apart from her more recent interest in guns and gear, Rachel enjoys writing, reading, traveling, and especially watching a good movie.
