Styrk B from Arsenal Firearms USA is Coming

Stryk B Update As of November 15, 2017: After many delays and 1/2 truths by Arsenal Firearms USA we have permanently pulled the plug on this project. The smoke and mirror show that Arsenal Firearms USA has pulled is shameful at best. After putting down a deposit and then a final payment with their distributor who is listed in this article, more that two months has passed and no pistols have arrived in their hands. We here at The Arms Guide can not in good conscience advise any of our readers to entertain the Stryk B or any product from Arsenal Firearms USA. In total we have waited over two years for this pistol and I personally am still sitting on almost $800.00 of disputed credit card charges for it. It’s not very often I will put my name down and tell someone professionally to avoid a company, but this is a first. If you want a firearm in a timely manner and one that will actually show up don’t think of Arsenal. I would like to say that the actions of the company and it’s management are in no way a reflection of their distributors. They are the ones left high and dry at the end of the day.

At SHOT Show 2016 the world was introduced to the Stryk family of pistols from Arsenal Firearms USA and were pleasantly surprised by what they saw. I was lucky enough to be one of the people at Industry Day at the range who got to put a few magazines worth of ammo through the pistol and I was hooked. I decided right there and then that I would have one. Well 2016 came and went and SHOT Show 2017 came back around and still no Stryk, a few changes with Arsenal Firearms USA corporate leadership and a few design tweaks and the Stryk is finally ready to be released to the market in North America. We have worked tirelessly with Rain 6 LLC of Salt Lake City, Utah to secure one of the Stryk B pistols for our testing. When we spoke with Rain 6 they told us the pistols had been awaiting a BATFE Import Certificate which was approved in September and the pistols would start shipping to distributors by the first week of October. The estimate target date for them to actually get into the hands of consumers is 1 November 2017.

What we know so far about the final Arsenal Firearms USA Stryk B is that it retains many of the mechanical advantages of the first demo models but with some control and cosmetic changes. The most noticeable is a change in the back strap and a change in the texturing pattern on the grip. This new final model actually have stippling and serrations that and cut in several directions to allow the pistol to grip the shooters hand more securely. According to the company the pistol has one of the lowest bore axis of any commercial pistol on the market at roughly 12mm. A final feature that has been slightly changed from the 2016 version we field tested at SHOT Show, is the pistol is available with your choice of fiber optic from sight or a blackened all  metal sight.

The Plan

Our plan for the Stryk pistol is to take it out the first day we have it in our hands and let as many shooters test it as we can find, for FREE, but there is a small catch. I am conducting a 1000 round test of the pistol at my local shooting range here at Birchwood Shooting Park in Birchwood, Alaska. So if you are one of our local Anchorage, Alaska or Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson readers and want to try before you buy then this is the day. My intention behind this is pretty easy, put 1000 rounds through the gun in one day and record the results to see how the gun handles a wide variety of ammunition brands and weights. I also want different shooters with different backgrounds to try this pistol. Military, Civilian, Law Enforcement, Young Men, Old Men, and hopefully a few Lady shooters will come by and try this out. I will say that I am trying to acquire 20 different brands and weights of ammunition for this test and I will be recording the sequence of what order they are being shot in. I will also be able to break down any potential problems to a specific brand of ammunition. This spread sheet will be included in our range report afterwards. The only constants in this test are #1 the Stryk pistol and #2 all ammo shot will be full metal jacket.

Look for the photos on the site and on Instagram when the pistol finally arrives, it should be a great day as we put our Defense Targets & CTS brand steel targets out on the range and give them a good work out. I want to take this chance to thank the folks at Rain 6 for helping us secure this, and Defense Targets and CTS Targets for sending us some outstanding AR500 steel to bang on with a regularity. If you are in the market for a quality steel target either of these companies make outstanding and offer a wide range of options.

We have included the unboxing video from Rain 6 so if you just want to watch what all the hype is about just click the link below and hear more.
