Beretta displayed the PX4 Compact Carry pistol this year at SHOT. This is the first time I got a chance to feel it up. I was very impressed with how well the adjustments work. The low profile controls are a terrific setup. I found the decocking levers to be hard to actuate, which is perfect. I can understand why Beretta is drawing alot of pride from this release. It answers the need of a serious shooter without the need to do any of the work.
I am also happy to report that the M9A3 is still going to be produced, despite the setbacks from moving their manufacturing. I got to have a discussion with Ernest Langdon about the PX4 Compact Carry, and the M9A3 in great detail. I learned a few things from him in our short time talking, to include the fact that we both served in the same unit in the Marines. Small Marine Corps indeed.
