Meet my own “old faithful” of pistols, the Kimber SIS Pro 1911. This was the first pistol I purchased when I turned 21, and I still carry it regularly today. There may be those who have had negative experiences with Kimbers, but mine has taken care of me. The four inch barrel gives a sharp report, but the full size grip makes the perceived recoil manageable. I shoot better with this handgun than nearly any other 1911 I’ve shot (with one or two exceptions).
