1911 Pistol Bits and Pieces

Greetings! Before we get started with this article, I wanted to write a few words to introduce myself. My name is Joe Chambers. I own a custom 1911 pistol shop in Nebraska called Chambers Custom LLc. (CCP). I’ve been building 1911 style pistols for a decade now, which really isn’t long if you love what […]

AmmoCanMagnets.Com: Organize your cache for a tidy apocalypse

I work with guns, so I keep ammo around. I was in the Army, so I became accustomed to sturdy waterproof steel containers for ammo.  I am organized but not neat. The worst thing in the world is to have ammo cans filled with unknown contents and have to open a dozen cans to find […]

Math and Guns – How Math Can Improve Your Shooting

Math and Guns – How Math Can Improve Your Shooting

I’ll be the first to admit that I hate math – it never was my strong suit. However, visiting the range reminds me that math has “real life” applications, including improving your shooting. Long range shooters, like snipers, are especially aware of how mathematics and physics must be effectively employed to achieve accuracy. However, […]

5 Important Things Every Concealed Carrier should know

by Lisa Megan The 2nd Amendment has given us the liberty to carry a licensed pistol but this doesn’t mean that we should ignore the fundamental rules of firearm safety. The great power comes great responsibility, carrying a licensed gun is subject to a promise made by every citizen that the pistol will be used […]

Seven Survival Keys That Every Hunter Should Know

Seven Survival Keys That Every Hunter Should Know

Each time you get to step out and decide to go hunting, you are always looking to return home safe and with a game on your back, as a sign of a good hunting session. Well, that is not always the case as sometimes people end up with injuries, or get lost and they have […]

They are adjustable for a wide range of […]

The Soviets and the 5.45×39: Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery

The Soviets and the 5.45×39: Imitation is the Sincerest Form of Flattery

The lineage of the 5.45 x 39mm rifle round that is commonly found in the AK-74 rifles all around the world can in a weird way trace its lineage back to the 5.56 x 45mm that NATO and the United States Military uses. Way back in the 1950’s what was then known as the Soviet […]

Eye Candy: SIG MPX - TheArmsGuide.com

Eye Candy: SIG MPX

Feast your eyes on the SIG MPX. SIG sure knows how to make a good-looking firearm, but the MPX really takes the cake. The SIG MPX is a semi-auto closed bolt, gas-operated piston pistol caliber sub-machine gun. This particular version is the MPX-C, which means it is the “carbine” version as it has a fixed […]

What Happens When a Texas 2nd Ammendment Woman Meets New York City?

I’ve noticed something about being in the gun industry. Everyone has a story, and more often than not they are more than willing to share it with you. Well I would like you to meet Antonia Okafor and her story. Antonia is a black woman who is often criticized and belittled because of her beliefs. […]

Realizing of the Potential of the Sig P-320 Fire Control Unit: B&T's New USW-320

Realizing of the Potential of the Sig P-320 Fire Control Unit: B&T’s New USW-320

The Sig 320 is going to change the way we think about firearms. Brügger & Thomet (B&T) has announced a new polymer version of their Universal Service Weapon (USW) which uses the trigger module from the Sig 320. More than a pistol and not quite a rifle the USW is a gun that demands its own classification. The ATF calls it a Short Barrelled Rifle (SBR).
