Interesting developments out of the folks at Beretta, recently they have announced a big brother version of their ARX100Â , and ARX 160, a rifle developed originally with the Italian and Nato Military Forces in mind. The ARX 100 has garnered some acclaim within the firearms community as of late. It’s a logical step that Beretta would make a .308 NATO version of the ARX100/ ARX 160. The new rifle the ARX200 was also developed for possible use with Italian and other European Military Forces. The released specifications are listed below. If you can handle reading sub titles during a video there is a good informational video from the DSEI Conference in London during late 2015.
We are very interested to see if Beretta plans on releasing a semi automatic version of this rifle for North American markets. We are also working to see how many if any parts at all are interchangeable between the ARX100 and ARX200 rifles. The market for .30 caliber large battle rifles is a bit murky right now so this development comes at a very odd moment.
