Meopta Monday: MeoPro 8×56 HD Binoculars

Meopta USA extends its popular MeoPro® HD binocular series with the addition of the new MeoPro 8×56 HD.  This binocular is ideal for glassing in extreme low light conditions thanks to the light gathering ability of its large objective lens, advanced fluoride high-definition optics and MeoBright™ multi-coated lenses.  Images are incredibly bright and clear with true, vivid colors and increased contrast, allowing hunters to see better at dawn and dusk when it matters most.

“The MeoPro 8×56 HD is the perfect low light binocular,” said Reinhard Seipp, general manager and chief operating officer of Meopta USA.  “Its large, 56mm objective diameter and 8x power create an exit pupil of 7mm, which is about the maximum pupil dilation of a normal human eye in low light.  The large exit pupil of this binocular floods the eye with light, allowing hunters to see fine detail in extremely low light.  This is why most wild boar hunters in Europe use 3-12×56 riflescopes set on 8x in combination with their 8×56 binocular because if they can see the boar with the binoculars, they can see it through their scope.”

The MeoPro binoculars are extremely durable and offer a brilliant viewing experience.  Fluoride HD objective lenses and MeoBright™ ion-assisted multi-coatings deliver incredible clarity, superior color fidelity and edge-to-edge sharpness while eliminating chromatic aberration in the most challenging viewing conditions.  The lightweight magnesium chassis is built to withstand the rugged conditions of the field and, the sculpted, shockproof, rubber-armored exterior is comfortable to hold for extended periods of glassing.  Like all Meopta binoculars, the MeoPro HDs are nitrogen purged and fully sealed making them fogproof and waterproof.

The external lenses of MeoPro HD are also treated with Meopta’s proprietary MeoShield™ abrasion-resistant coating which meets military specifications for durability and surface hardness.  Twist-up eye cups feature four click-stop positions to accommodate users with or without eyeglasses and a right side ocular diopter control provides +/- 3 D adjustment for simple individual optical tuning.

MeoPro HD Binoculars are also available in 8×32, 10×32, 8×42 and 10×42 models in addition to the new 8×56 model. MSRP:   $1,034.99
