The Masai Mara is an Inertia Action shotgun that features dynamic styling and is the platform for a host of innovative proprietary features that RETAY ARMS believes set the Masai Mara apart and above competitive products in the sporting shotgun space.
At just over 6.5LBS the Masai Mara is one of the lightest shotguns on the market today. The new semi-automatic shotgun is available in 15 versions that offer various finishing combinations including luxury options with oiled Walnut, as well as camouflage and black synthetic options.
Several versions in both the Walnut and synthetic feature receivers colored with factory applied Cerakote ™ polymer ceramic finish. One can choose a receiver with flat or high polished black anodizing or opt for the Cerakote ™ and choose from Silver, Bronze, Grey or Satin.
Camouflage versions of the Masai Mara Shotgun feature high quality factory performed water transfer printing (WTP) with the MAX-5 pattern licensed from RealTree ™ and EVO pattern licensed from NextCamo ™.
Luxury models feature oil finished Turkish Walnut stocks produced for RETAY in Italy by Minelli Wood Products Spa. Stocks bound for the United States market are grades 2.5 and 3 which will make the Masai Mara of particular interest to those shooters who enjoy a well figured Walnut stock.
All Masai Mara shotguns come standard with Italian made ergonomic microcell recoil pads produced by Cervellati ™, fluorescent lights made by TruGlo ™ , a locking ABS hard gun case and a snap cap by Megaline ™ Spa of Italy.
All versions of the Masai Mara offer innovative features designed by RETAY Arms including Proprietary “InertiaPlus ™” rotating bolt system, proprietary push-button Removable Trigger Group, proprietary Removable Ejector and precision Mara Barrel ™ that is available in 24”, 26” 28” 30” lengths.
The Masai Mara is available as a 12 Gauge with a 3” chamber only for the time being but RETAY Arms has a 3.5” chambered version and a 20ga version in development although no timeline for the release of those models has been given.
