Guns can save lives. A Milwaukee janitor survived an attack by three violent youths earlier this month, with the aid of a concealed carry firearm.
Two teenagers, a 17-year-old female and a 19-year-old male, and a 20-year old male, attacked the janitor of an apartment complex janitor while he was on the job. Allegedly, the altercation began with a verbal confrontation and escalated with the 19-yr-old grabbed the janitor from behind and held him in a chokehold while the female beat the janitor with a souvenir baseball bat.
According to the report, the janitor drew his concealed carry pistol—a .40 cal handgun—and shot the female attacker in the chest as she struck at him. He then shot the teen choking him. Unfortunately for the youths, neither teen survived the incident. The 20-yr-old male wasn’t harmed.
After being released from the hospital (for injuries related to the mini-baseball bat beating), the janitor was initially jailed under the suspicion of first degree murder. However, neither he nor the surviving assailant have been charged. The janitor has been released with the statement from the district attorney that the janitor’s employment of his concealed carry firearm were justifiable “to prevent death or great bodily harm to himself.”
