The TalonSS is a pre-charged pneumatic air rifle from AirForce Airguns. Unlike the spring piston guns of childhood, this is a serious hunting rifle suitable for small game. State-of-the-art airgun technology pushes a .22-caliber pellet up to 1,000 fps. The TalonSS is a highly accurate rifle which can entertain by punching small holes in paper or small game hunting.
Shooting this rifle at SHOT range day was noting short of amazing. No recoil, no noise, high accuracy and light weight. It is fun to shoot and it is not a firearm. It is completely different from any other shooting experience.
The SS in the name means you get an integral suppressor and a 12″ barrel, The short barrel makes it light and the integral suppressor makes it quiet. ATF is not involved in this because it is not a “firearm”. An innovative muzzle cap that strips away air turbulence and reduces discharge sound levels. To make it even quieter, you can adjust the power down for quiet backyard target practice. Need more power? Turn it up for small game hunting or pest control. The easy-to-use power-adjust wheel takes your rifle from 400 fps to 1000 fps.
With quality pellets like the SIG Wraith, you can expect sub-minute accuracy and good terminal effects.
Made in America, the TalonSS features a 12 inch Lothar Walther barrel (1:16 twist). Space-age polymers and aircraft-grade aluminum makethe AirForce Talon SS light and strong.
The removable 490cc air tank (DOT-certified) can be filled with a hand pump, scuba tank or electric compressor to 3000 psi (206 bar) for lots of shots without a refill. Thanks to the new Spin-Loc tank and collar, you don’t have to remove the gun’s air reservoir to fill it. The tank has a pressure-release valve for additional safety. The air-rechargeable tank can be filled by hand pump or scuba tank. There are no spring-pistons to make noise and no CO2 cartridges to buy.
There are lots of ways to configure this gun, including rail-mounted accessories (coin-slot screws for each changeout). You can choose the scope, laser, flashlight, night vision equipment, extra tanks, quick-detach fiber-optic sights and attachments for the type of refilling unit you plan to use. Not sure which caliber to get? Get all of them! Extra barrels are available, and change-outs are quick and easy and don’t require any special tools. Ifyou replace the barrel with a longer one, the gun will not be silenced.

**As with all PCP rifles, an external air supply is needed but not supplied with the rifle.
**You will need an adapter to fill the reservoir with air. The type of adapter depends on how you plan to fill your gun. A scuba tank will require a different adapter than a hand pump or carbon fiber tank. If you use a hand pump, the type of adapter you need depends on the brand of hand pump you use.
