You’ve seen plenty of AR-15 style rifles, but have you seen this one? I hadn’t. I encountered the A-556 Elite during SHOT Show Industry Day at the range and got the chance to put a few rounds through one. Shooting a new rifle has its own charm, but part of the fun in the experience for me was getting to shoot moving targets for the first time. It’s trickier than I thought! You can see how I did in the video above (where you may notice that I am unused to using the A-556 Elite’s forward charging handle… old habits die hard, eh?). Here are some of the specs on the ADCOR A-556 Elite:
- gas piston operated, with multi-position regulator
- free-floating chrome-lined barrel, 1:7 twist
- custom adjustable stock
- flattop upper
- additional forward mounted ambi/reversible charging handle
- tool-less field strip
What are your first impressions?
