Fit’n Fire Friday: Vanguard Trident-31 Backpack

The Vanguard Trident-31 is the big brother to the Trident-20 and looks to provide an option for you to carry more. I was fortunate enough to have this sent to me by Vanguard and just in time for me to use it while I traveled to Georgia to take part in IV8888’s Range Day. When I travel, I like to travel as light as I can. With that being said, I packed about 6-8 days of clothes, gear for the range such as gloves and ear/eye protection, and my computer. The pack easily accepted everything I loaded into it and I still had room for other items! Ruggedly built with 1000 cordura nylon fabric that is DuPont Teflon coated and has YKK lockable zippers. A perfect option for a truck pack, bug out bag, or even a bag for photographers to handle all your gear.

This backpack has pockets galore. I was extremely pleased with how utilitarian this pack is in that you have places to put everything you should need to carry. Every pocket can be easily accessed to grab what you need on the go. The main compartment can be compartmentalized into four sections with the removable hook and loop panels, it will carry up to a 17” laptop computer, and it can be accessed from the top or the left side of the pack. In addition, Vanguard as incorporated a quick access pocket that has hook and loop panels that will accept Vanguard’s modular holsters. This pocket will allow you conceal a firearm and additional magazines. The addition of a concealable pocket allows you to use this pack not only in urban environments but also urban areas if you were to be out on a hike. Great product and built solid.
