Secure Rifle Storage? Tac Rak makes it look good

Tac Rak started with two friends that share the same common problem. Rifle storage. Over months of research, trial and error, a solid design was finally developed. With safety and affordability in mind, they found a means of displaying rifles neatly and out of the way with floor and wall mounted models.  Custom racks are available on request.

Evan Sullivan, a small business owner based in Southern California founded Tac Rak in 2014.  As happens to many of us, his interest in guns and rifles grew and he soon had a collection that was all around the house.

He didn’t want them under the bed in soft cases or in a closet leaning against each other. There had to be a way to keep them neat and out of the way. Not finding a solution online he designed a simple, minimalist, compact locking rack that would get long guns off the floor and out of the way. Acquiring a Mig welder, he realized I could solve his own problem.

Secure storage is a big issue, safes are big and bulky and don’t fit in every room. Evan  designed and built the first Tac Rak from scratch in his garage. With a friend he worked late, over a few nights, putting ideas together and produced a design considers not only the security, but  aesthetics. After making a few racks for friends, he made small adjustments and produced the current modular design that allows custom builds.

Over the past 2 years, as security concerns among gun owners mounted, Tac Rak has experienced solid growth. They currently make 2 base models and custom racks to fit any application. Heavy steel has few substitutes and Tac Rak delivers an innovative product to safeguard your valuable rifle collection while assisting responsible owners to comply with state storage and safety regulations. Tac Rak provides a superior American-made solution to an age-old safety issue.

The first model released was a wall-mounted, 5-rifle rack, designed to be compact and easy to fit into a closet. Now there are plenty of competitors out there with locking bars that slide in from the sides. This makes them difficult to use in a confined space like a bedroom closet or a tight room with minimal space.

The locking bar on the Tac Rak’s slides in from the front meaning you don’t need any more clearance around the frame to use it, just the depth of the locking bar which is 2″. In other words, the amount of space needed to get your rifles out, is the width of the rack. On top of that, they apply a thick rubberized coating to avoid marring and protect the stock and finish of your rifles.

Based on feedback from friends in the gun community, they figured that the 5-rifle rack was a good minimum for an average owner and had enough room to grow for new shooters building a collection.

They next step was  floor-mounted racks because they realize that everyone’s storage needs are different. They offer and have built racks that hold as many as 12 rifles and have options for adding shelves for ammo storage and wheels to move the rack around.

Their  goal and passion at Tac Rak is to make your guns secure and attractive at a very affordable price. They only offer American made products and will never outsource.

TAC Rak believes in giving back to our country and doing our duty to help restore American 2A rights.
