Here at Streamlight, we are always looking for ways to improve the output and performance of our lights. Sometimes this comes down to making a simple battery change.
For instance, throughout this year, we have updated to 2,600 mA nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries in the Stinger® LED, Stinger DS® LED, PolyStinger® LED, PolyStinger DS® LED and Stinger® Classic LED flashlights to improve the runtime of each. In conjunction with this, there has been incremental improvements in LED selection, providing the lights with enhanced lumen output.
As a result of these changes, each of the below lights has more lumens and longer runtimes:
Stinger LED and Stinger DS LED
-
- 425 lumens on high (up from 350)
- Â 3 hour runtime on high; 10 hours on low (up from 2 hours and 7.25 hours)
- Â 322m beam distance on high (up from 310m)
