SABER M700 Tactical Rifle – Unparalleled Modularity, Sub-MOA Precision

October 16, 2018 by The Loadout Room Leave a Comment

SABER M700 Tactical Rifle

Ruckersville, VA. – Ashbury Precision Ordnance Mfg (APO) is expanding its best value line of sport utility SABER® M700™ Sport Utility Rifles with the new SABER M700 Tactical Rifle chambered in the venerable .308 Win and immensely popular 6.5 Creedmoor cartridges. SABER M700 rifles are manufactured using hand-select Remington Model 700 barreled actions mated with specially configured variants of the patented SABER modular rifle chassis. Every SABER M700 rifle is built entirely in the U.S.A., handcrafted by proud American craftsmen and Veteran US Military Armed Service members in Remington’s factory in Alabama and Ashbury Precision Ordnance’s plant in Ruckersville, Virginia.

Designed for quality-conscious, aspirational long range precision rifle shooters and law enforcement tactical team use, the SABER M700 Tactical Rifle offers shooters numerous high-end precision, semi-custom rifle features at a very competitive price. This rugged modern bolt action rifle is ready for the firing range, or to support tactical operations in service of those sworn to protect and serve.
SABER M700 Tactical Rifle
“The SABER M700 .308 Tactical Rifle is a great example of the continuing evolution of Ashbury’s SABER modular rifle chassis system,” said Matthew Peterson, Ashbury’s Product Manager. “APO’s mature rifle chassis designs are far reaching in terms of modularity, re-configurability, shooter ergonomics and low-felt recoil. Coupled with continuous improvements in Remington’s mass production manufacturing processes, Ashbury can offer this high-quality, best-value tactical rifle that’s range ready.”
The SABER M700 Tactical Rifle uses an APO Custom Shop accurized Remington Model 700® SPS Tactical AAC-SD barreled action which delivers sub-MOA downrange performance. The SABER M700 Tactical Rifle is fitted with an externally adjustable Rifle Basix trigger set to break at a crisp 3 lbs. The M700 rifle barrels are hammer-forged, with the .308 Win configured as a 20″ 1:10 twist barrel and the 6.5 Creedmoor as a 22″ 1:8 twist barrel. Both rifle models have 5/8-24 threaded muzzles and are fitted with an AAC Blackout 51T muzzle brake suppressor adapter.

Ashbury’s rugged, low maintenance SABER MRCS-AR MOD-1 modular rifle chassis needs NO epoxy bedding to obtain optimal accuracy and is impervious to hot and cold extreme weather conditions. The SABER M700 Tactical Rifle’s AR/MSR inspired MRCS-AR modular rifle chassis features a SABER Push Button Adjustable Hybrid (PBA-H) shoulder stock with tool-less adjustments for cheek piece height, length of pull and recoil pad vertical recoil pad drop; all with positive locking adjustments.
SABER M700 Tactical Rifle
The PBA-H shoulder stock is fitted with a butt hook as standard equipment for non-shooting hand support. An interchangeable, 3-position, rapidly adjustable field monopod is available as a user-installable option. The PBA-H shoulder stock is mounted to the SABER chassis with a strong double locking hinge that makes for easy storage and transport.
The SABER M700 Tactical Rifle’s AR-08 aluminum alloy MOD-1 forend has a unique octagonal design with M-LOK® accessory rail mounting locations at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions. A key element on this precision rifle platform is Ashbury’s patented, continuous one-piece MIL-STD 1913 20 MOA unitized monolithic top rail that provides increased structural rigidity for long range accuracy, secure in-line mounting of the rifle scope, and clip-on night vision or thermal imager device.
The SABER M700 Tactical Rifle has a user-adjustable hand grip, to change distance-to-trigger (for large and small hands) with a comfortable 11 degree grip angle. The rifle also has an ambidextrous paddle lever magazine release and includes one Magpul PMAG 10 7.62 AC™ detachable box magazine. This full featured tactical rifle is easily maintainable and upgradeable by the user with simple hand tools!
For LEO’s and shooters who may already own a Remington Model 700 short action rifle, APO offers the RSA-A3 MRCS-AR MOD-1 short action and long action rifle SABER chassis separately. SABER rifle chassis can be installed with simple hand tools in the LEO arms room or at the home work bench in minutes with no gunsmithing required!
The SABER MRCS-AR modular rifle chassis is coated in a durable MIL-SPEC 8625 black hard-coat anodized finish and the Remington Model 700 SPS Tactical AAC-SD barreled action is finished with a black phosphate coating. An optional Cerakote ceramic finish in a range of colors is available. This lightweight APO tactical rifle weighs in at 11.3 lbs (base rifle), has an overall length of 41 inches and folds to a compact 31.5 inches for easy transport.
SABER M700 Tactical Rifle
The base rifle retail price is $2,750 with numerous options available in .308 Win or 6.5 Creedmoor. Shoot-ability, comfort, ergonomic adjustability, modularity, and low-felt recoil with sub-MOA accuracy are hallmarks of the SABER M700 Tactical Rifle.
