Patriot Stencils: Mark Your Targets for Better Training

June 24, 2018 by Mark Miller Leave a Comment

Patriot Stencils: Mark Your Targets for Better Training
For training and competition, you need threat and non-threat targets. In the past we have made copies, painted graffiti and home made cardboard cutout stencils to paint the same boring old cutout hands on targets.  Patriot Stencils are laser cut, solvent proof Mylar to produce quality high images when painted. Because the material is so tough and solvent proof, the stencils can be used thousands of times and cleaned with paint remover.
As a firearms instructor, I am constantly making targets for pistol, shotgun and rifle.  Stencils are a convenient time saver and add a professional look . Whether you are shooting steel or paper targets, you need to identify a threat or you are just target shooting. For marksmanship drills, you need some kind of bulls eye for accuracy.
The Stencil Six Pack pack includes threat targets as well as hands and a circular bull’s eye stencil. The bull’s eye lets you to score hits on steel targets for multiple shooters with a quick blast of spray paint and use different colors. I particularly like this for shotgun as paper targets just fall apart.

Dimensions:
  • Handgun and Pointing Hand: 8 X 9 inches
  • Open Hand and Knife in Hand: 11.75 X 11.75 inches
  • Zombie Head: 11.75 X 11.75 inches (5 X 8 head size)
  • Bullseye: 11.75 X 11.75 inches (8 inch diameter outer ring)
  • 10 mil polyester film (mylar) – This material is used for industrial stencils, not cardboard or oil board
  • Solvent proof – You can clean your stencils with paint remover, acetone (fingernail polish remover), turpentine/mineral spirits, or anything recommended to clean paint
  • Flexible – Mylar has the ability to be rolled very tightly and it will always bounce back to its flat shape
  • Tough – Your stencils can be used hundreds of times and is virtually impossible to tear with your bare hands

Dynamic decision making and shoot/no shoot training is a critical aspect of firearms training for military, law enforcement and citizens who choose to arm them selves for self defense. These stencils give military and law enforcement firearms training officers and concealed carry instructors a unique tool to enhance their training programs while still being very budget friendly.

I like the zombie head. It provides the anatomical land marks which are important for an effective head shot. And it’s a zombie head. The stencil is clean and looks a lot better than the example above if you take your time and know how to use a stencil. Even with my limited skills, it came out pretty good.

The Ultimate Target Stencil 6 Pack will save time, provide more fun a the range, add threat recognition into your training and improve your marksmanship. $58.95 Get your very own Patriot Stencils HERE
