Nightforce Announces New NX8, ATACR Riflescopes

Nightforce Optics just unveiled two new 1-8x24mm riflescopes to close out 2017.

First up is the NX8 1-8×24 F1. This optic represents the first entry in the company’s new NX8 family of riflescopes.

Designed for short -to medium-range shooting, the compact NX8-8×24 F1 boasts “true 1x magnification and a daylight visible reticle with multiple brightness settings, it is versatile enough to use at close ranges, plus, has extraordinary capability at far reaching distances,” said Nightforce’s North America sales manager Alan Stilwell said in a statement. “The NX8 1-8×24 F1 conserves valuable real estate on your rifle at only 8.75 inches in length, and weighs just 17 ounces,” Stilwell added. “Put it on your competition rifle for 3-gun, or use it for a variety of shooting disciplines; the NX8 1-8×24 F1 is also robust enough for professional use.”

The scope includes FC-MIL or FC-MOA first focal plane reticle options, offering up precise hold points. For those wanting to dial in longer shots, the turrets feature Nightforce’s ZeroStop elevation-adjustable technology with a windage limiter, allowing for a fast return to absolute zero regardless of previous elevation adjustments. The adjustments are  true .2 Mil-Radian or .50 MOA. To help with fast magnification adjustments, the Power Throw Lever is included, according to the presser.

The next riflescope on tap is the latest entry in the company’s Advanced Tactical Riflescope (ATACR) series, the ATACR 1-8×24 F1.
