CAMP SHORABAK, AFGHANISTAN
A Marine with Task Force Southwest fires an M240L machine gun during a sustainment range at Camp Shorabak, Afghanistan, June 25, 2017. A platoon from the Task Force’s security force executed the live-fire training in order to refresh their crew-served weapons capabilities and improve defensive posture. Marines with Charlie Co., 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment make up the security force, whose guardian angel and security missions allow the Task Force to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Army 215th Corps and 505th Zone National Police.
