Hydro Flask Wine Bottle | Modern luxury in the wilderness

October 25, 2017 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Hydroflask Wine Bottle

Camping, hiking, and exploring have always been part of my life. In my youth, I loved the challenge of packing light and staying out for extended periods of time. Only bringing the bare essentials. Well, the challenge portion of my adventures have shifted to an enjoyment phase. I still love an adventure, but I prefer to bring my wife of 20+ years and enjoy the outdoors together. With that comes additional creature comforts. I no longer crawl into a ultra lightweight tent and sleep on the ground. We’ve graduated to a rooftop tent from Tepui. Dehydrated camp food has been replaced by a Yeti cooler full of real food. And drinking filtered water from a creek has taken a backseat to a good bottle of wine. With Hydro Flasks new 25 oz. Wine Bottle and 10 oz. Wine Tumblers, bringing our favorite vintage on adventures have never been easier.

Our family has been a Hydro Flask fan for years. For me, it all started at the 2011 PGA show in Orlando. When I stopped by the Hydro Flask booth, a rep showed me a bottle filled with ice from 24 hours earlier. He tipped it upside down and only a dribble of water exited the bottle. 90% of the ice remained unmelted. My friend and I were impressed and we walked away with new Hydro Flask bottles. Since then I’ve stood behind their products because they continue to deliver. The new 25 oz. wine bottle and tumblers are no exception. Beverages maintain temperature because of their TempShield insulation and leakproof caps. Finally,  a silicone base on the bottle maintains grip on any surface. So don’t neglect the finer things in life. Bring a bottle of wine on your next adventure.

**Public Service Announcement**  Like most people, I sometimes neglect to read the care instructions included with some products. And I ended up placing a Hydro Flask product in the dishwasher. This is a no-go and ends up discoloring the exterior finish with chalky white spots. Be aware that Hydro Flask products need to be hand washed as they are NOT dishwasher safe.
