Concealed Carry

Craft Panther Holster: A No‑Drama Solution for Everyday Carry

March 19, 2026 by Fred Rowlands 24 Comments

Since moving to NW Florida, I’ve been a fan of off-body carry when it comes to my EDC.  It offers many advantages, most of which are connected in some way to the wonderful humidity and weather we have here.  In the last year, I’ve also added a new aspect of life, motorcycle riding, which brings its own unique set of circumstances.

Due to changing world and national events, I decided to move back to on-body carry.  To do that, I needed a holster that created an extremely slim profile, hug my body, and position my Glock 30 for easy deployment.  Enter Craft Holsters Panther, a holster I received over 2 years ago and had completely forgotten about.

Some holsters demand a whole adjustment period before they settle in. Thankfully, the Craft Panther isn’t one of them. Running it with my Glock 30, what stood out immediately was how quickly it disappeared into my daily routine — no wrestling with stiff leather, no awkward break‑in phase, just a clean, comfortable fit right out of the box. Craft includes instructions on how to best break in the leather, but I never used them and never needed them.

Craft also carries a full line of magazine pouches, belts, and other accessories, all made of high-quality leather with Kydex and Nylon options available too.  Craft also has IWB and more OWB holster models, off body carry options and even duty carry holsters.  Pretty much anything you need, and everything leather is the same high-quality Italian leather with German double stitching like the Panther model I’m using.

Always Ready at 4 O’Clock

The Panther rides naturally at the 4 o’clock position, which many people believe is THE sweet spot for concealment and draw consistency, myself included. What impresses me most, though, is how the holster supports that position without printing or shifting throughout the day. Whether I was moving, driving, or just going about the usual grind, the gun stayed anchored exactly where it needed to be, hugging my hip without interfering with my daily life.

Craft’s leatherwork has that balance of structure and give that most holsters take weeks to develop. The retention is intentional — it feels secure enough to trust, and smooth enough that the draw doesn’t fight you. It’s the kind of setup that lets me forget about the gear and focus on my day and when needed, the draw.

But concealability is where the Panther really earns its keep. The profile is slim, the molding is precise, and the holster tucks the Glock 30 in tight without feeling bulky. For a compact .45 that isn’t exactly known for being petite, that’s no small accomplishment.

The Holster Hugs So Close, You Can Barely See Any Bulge

For me, what I really appreciate is, the Panther isn’t trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s just a well‑built, dependable leather holster that does exactly what I need it to do: carry comfortably, conceal cleanly, and stay consistent from the moment I put it on, whether I’m in the truck running errands, on the motorcycle traveling or anything else I’m doing.

If you want a holster that works with you instead of against you, the Craft Panther is an easy piece of gear to appreciate.

Garfield out.
