Diamondback DB9: The Mini 9mm

Diamondback DB9: The Mini 9mm

Despite being around since 2011 not much is seen of the Diamondback DB9.  Then again that’s the idea of a pocket gun.  At just .80” wide and 4” tall the Diamondback DB9 is only slightly larger than the Ruger LCP. The Pocket 9mm For more table-top and unboxing see the video here: Unlike the LCP […]

Chicago PD Chooses Sig Sauer P320 as Duty Weapon

In a huge announcement for Sig Sauer employees, management and shareholders the company today announced that the city of Chicago Illinois Police Department has officially authorized the Sig Sauer P320 to be used as a duty weapon. The Chicago Police Department isn’t small by any stretch of the imagination, in fact, it’s total force is […]

Sarsilmaz ST9 and Turkish Alternatives

Revisit: Sarsilmaz ST9 and Turkish Alternatives

A few months ago we brought you the ST9 from Sarsilmaz.  This gun is imported by T R Imports and has a lot to offer.  See the original article here.  Fully ambidextrous, 17+1 rounds of 9mm, and H&K styling make the ST9 an attractive design for those wanting a full-featured gun without the full-featured price […]

New Duty Pistol for Tampa Police Department: SIG SAUER P320

Watch the Sig Sauer P320 Fire 1000 Rounds in 13 Minutes and the Polymer Results

The Military Arms Channel has done a video one thousand torture test with the Sig Sauer P320 that is worth watching. The P320, or a version of it anyway, won the XM17 trials to become our nations primary service pistol. The Sig P320 is loved by many shooters, it seems to be one of the […]

The 1911 is still a viable handgun

The 1911 is still a viable handgun

The 1911 is still a viable carry option, 107 years after its development. I own and have owned many Glocks. I’ve built one of my plastic fantastics. I love polymer frame, striker fire pistols. Especially with a nice aftermarket or well broken in trigger. But the 1911 still holds a very special place in my […]

The Sig 320 X-Five is the flagship of the 320 X-Series. Sig calls it the "pinnacle for competition." It is chambered in 9mm or .40 S&W and ready for a match right out of the box. The X-5 has been upgraded with every feature a boy could want: a five-inch match barrel, flat trigger, fully adjustable sights, detachable flared magazine well, integrated grip weight, extended beavertail, undercut trigger guard, extended slide catch lever and optic ready. I got the 9mm model and I am not disappointed. The gun looks great, the slide has three lightning cuts on top and grasping grooves in the slide that are straight and aligned with the grip angle. To top it all off, each P320 X-Five includes four (4) 21rd steel magazines. It comes in a nice foam fitted Sig pistol box. I wanted the P320 X-Five 9mm because it incorporates all of the features I wanted to maximize accuracy, and ergonomics while maintaining the modularity of the P320 platform. You can buy a cheap gun ad up grade it, but you never know if the parts are going to work well together. The X-Five is ready on arrival. The X-Series grip module has a deep trigger guard undercut, a high back strap and an extended beavertail which combined with the flared mag well exactly form to my hand. This gives me a high grip for great recoil management. The removable grip weight lets me tweak the balance to exactly where I want it. The X-Five has a straight trigger that helps the shooter get a consistent set and press. It breaks at 90 degrees for an even better feeling pull. Dawson Precision® Fiber Optic sights are my favorite. The colored post draws the eye and the wide rear notch lines up fast and provides a very precise picture. The rear sights are fully-adjustable. As if that wasn't good enough, there is more. The X-Five pistol is optics-ready right out of the box. The rear sight plate can be removed as a unit and replaced with a ROMEO1 red dot optic. First Look: Lionheart LH9 with Double-Action Plus

Though the Lionheart LH9 is not a trendy new gun, it is a new gun to my hands.  Ever since watching Military Arms Channel explain the history of the design and three trigger modes I’ve wanted to try one.  As you can see in the tabletop video below a lot of things about the LH9 […]

Walther PPX: Police Pistol Xtreme

Walther PPX – Polymer Doublestack 9mm

The Walther PPX. It’s a hammer fired double stack pistol, chambered in 9mm and .40 S&W. The design closely resembles the PPQ released two years prior. The sizes of both pistols are similar in dimension (the Walther PPX measures 7.3in long, 5.6in tall, and 1.3in wide compared to the PPQ’s 7.1in long by 5.3in tall, […]

And Now For Something...Completely Different 45 Colt

And Now For Something…Completely Different: 45 Colt

The last eight years saw an unprecedented expansion of gun ownership in America.  Some of us already owned a few before the “scare era” of gun buying began.  Those who did now own dozen, and those who are new gun owners may have listened to the suggestions of others as to what to buy in […]
