Built for Abuse: Extreme Duty AR Magazines from MFT

Mission First Tactical’s new Extreme Duty Polymer AR Magazine (EDM) is designed for military, law enforcement and serious professional applications, these mags fit all AR-15/M4 platforms and a number of other systems like the Heckler & Koch HK416, FN America FN SCAR16 and the SA-80 bullpup.

The EDM makes your gun run and it will fit in your existing pouches, even the tight doubles and triples; they measure 7.5 inches high, 2.52 inches in length and 0.94 inch wide.

What makes these mags different?

The four-way anti-tilt follower is powered by an advanced stainless-steel spring. An oversized bolt catch on the follower, locks the bolt open reliably on the last round and ensures long years of service.

The lower half of the magazine body is thickened for rigidity to maintain the internal geometry of the magazine body critical for reliability.

Low profile front ribs and a flared design give shooters a confident grip allowing MFT Extreme Duty Magazines to be easily drawn from traditional magazine pouches, even with gloves.

Built using a next-generation long glass-fiber polymer and featuring a thick floor plate, EDM has 50 percent more impact resistance adding protection when heavy loaded magazines drop onto hard surfaces.

The thick flared floor plates have two tool-free disassembly notches. While easy to remove, this minimizes the chances of unintentional disassembly.

Functional features visually separate EDM from the pack, but you want to identify your mags individually. On each side of the body, a wide, flat surface allows for the addition of markings and provides a paint-pen dot matrix.  MFT also provides magazines marked with laser-engraved logos.
