Ascent Protein | The Warfighter’s Nutrition

The demands imposed by Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and missions are unlike any athletic endeavor. Success requires the mustering of all strength and endurance—both physical and mental. SOF are “Warrior Athletes,” the ultimate athlete, at the top of the athletic pyramid. One factor that will contribute to mission success and lifelong health is good […]

Watch: CoolFire Trainer

This new dry fire training system is as simple and realistic as it gets without going to the range and using actual ammo. The system in a nut shell is a barrel replacement that is basically a CO2 cartridge. Each strike of the hammer actuates a pressure release valve that vents enough gas to work the […]

Days of Guns: Glock 17 Pistol

In a previous article I wrote – how to keep your family safe – I covered my Glock 26 and Glock 17. I’ve gotten several requests to do more in-depth reviews of the gear that was discussed. For this article, we will go into a little more detail regarding the Glock 17, the modifications I have made to […]

Recon Marines sport SEAL-designed boots

A new boot designed by a former Navy SEAL has caught the attention of elite operators across the military including some West Coast reconnaissance Marines and members of Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command. LALO Tactical’s Shadow boots are tailor-made for the types of missions the nation’s most elite fighters conduct. It aims to be light, […]

Gemtech G5-T 5.56MM Suppressor

I read a thread on a gun forum the other day. Someone with a lot of science knowledge, but no practical firearms experience, was arguing that a silencer was useless on a gun that fired a supersonic bullet. He was “enthusiastic” with his argument that you can’t do anything about the sonic boom of an […]

Chris Reeve Sebenza 25 - High End Carry Knife

Chris Reeve Sebenza 25 – High End Carry Knife

I expect a knife of this price range to be dependable and perform when I need them to (within reason). There should be no durability issues. The fit and finish should also be top-notch along with the material selection. I don’t expect perfection, but it better be pretty darn close. A high-end carry knife is not […]

IHK Ultimate Compact Survival Kit

Compact survival kits are somewhat of a popular item in this day and age. The most common one you probably hear about is the Altoid tin survival kit (common among the bushcrafting community). This is a great concept, but the issue I commonly have is the size of the tin and the quality of the materials […]

Indy Hammered Knives Neck Knife

Having a decent fixed blade knife is a must for outdoor, survival, and life skills. I’ve always got a folding knife in my pocket and have (within the past year) started carrying a fixed blade on a more regular basis. Some may think that’s overkill, but I believe the simplicity and reliability of a fixed […]

Emerson Knives Apache - A Warriors Blade

Emerson Knives Apache – A Warriors Blade

Emerson Knives has released a new signature series knife known as the Apache. Why the name Apache? The name of this blade is based on the Apache Indian Tribes. The Apache Indians were one of the more popular tribes in America. They were known as a commanding tribe with fierce warriors who showed no fear. […]
