Brownell's Glock 19 Slide Built and Tested

Watch Brownell’s Glock 19 Slide: Built and Tested

Brownell’s has long been a friend of the gun builder.  From their beginning as a parts and tool supply to their growth into their current status as the Candyland for gun lovers.  Not long ago they began making their own AR-15 magazines (I’ve seen it personally, these are not simple rebrands), and now they offer […]

Extracarry: Camouflage for your Spare Mag

Extracarry: Camouflage for your Spare Mag

We all enjoy single-stacks in the summer time.  Thinner, lighter, and easier to conceal under light-weight clothing.  Recently we learned of some good shirt options in the article here.  The consequence of course is that capacity is reduced.  Lower capacity, and in some cases a less-powerful round than we would prefer.  A diminished the sense […]

Remington Recall: Upgrade Instead with Brownell's

Remington Recall: Upgrade Instead with Brownell’s

I ordered my first Remington 700 and the next day the internet was ablaze with news about yet another recall from one of America’s most famed manufacturers.  Remington has recalled an American classic, the Remington 700.  Unfortunately I believed the more tabloid-like gun blogs and thought it included all Remington 700s. Fortunately that is not […]

First Look: Canik TP9 SFx from Century Arms

Century Arms and Canik USA have expanded the TP9 line once more.  The TP9 SFx is a competition-oriented model akin to the Walther Q5 Match.  With a 5.2″ barrel the TP9 SFx has the length to not only squeeze more velocity and power out of 9mm rounds, but also provides a lengthy sight radius. The […]

Field Tested: Propper BA Softshell Jacket

Over the past several months I’ve been trying out the Propper BA Softshell jacket.  Living in the Pacific Northwest provides folks with a special appreciation for outerwear.  High temperatures can swing by double digits and we have so many types of rain that falls so often we count the days that don’t have rain.  For about […]

Caldwell Ballistic Precision Target Camera: See Your Hits! ~VIDEO

Caldwell has been providing simple and effective solutions for all sorts of shooter’s needs.  From targets to rests, cleaning supplies to storage solutions.  You’ve seen us use their Stinger Rest in rifle reviews.  For us a challenge has always been to spot hits at longer ranges. Of course a $1,000 spotting scope on an expensive […]

Hardened Arms: Crucible and Linear Muzzle Compensator

TESTED: Hardened Arms SMC

The Hardened Arms SMC is a new muzzle device from Hardened Arms developed with the intent of eliminating muzzle rise on short-barreled and full-auto applications.  Below is the description taken directly from the product page: “Dedicated to innovation Hardened Arms is pleased to bring the HD SMC to the shooting public. Using SMC muzzle redirection […]

Diamondback DB9: The Mini 9mm

Diamondback DB9: The Mini 9mm

Despite being around since 2011 not much is seen of the Diamondback DB9.  Then again that’s the idea of a pocket gun.  At just .80” wide and 4” tall the Diamondback DB9 is only slightly larger than the Ruger LCP. The Pocket 9mm For more table-top and unboxing see the video here: Unlike the LCP […]

Tested: G2 Research Trident Ripout .308

TESTED: G2 Research Trident Ripout .308

G2 Research is known for finding new ways to make ammo wicked.  Most known for their R.I.P. line, they also produce loads for rifles.  Defensive and specialty handgun loads easily number in the hundreds.  But what about rifles? Aside from bonded bullets, and meat-destroying fracturing loads hunters aren’t left with many options.  G2 Research has […]

Sarsilmaz ST9 and Turkish Alternatives

Revisit: Sarsilmaz ST9 and Turkish Alternatives

A few months ago we brought you the ST9 from Sarsilmaz.  This gun is imported by T R Imports and has a lot to offer.  See the original article here.  Fully ambidextrous, 17+1 rounds of 9mm, and H&K styling make the ST9 an attractive design for those wanting a full-featured gun without the full-featured price […]
