Freedom Ordnance FX-9 Pistol First Look~WATCH

Freedom Ordnance FX-9 Pistol First Look~WATCH

Not long ago we brought you a first look at the FX-9 from Freedom Ordnance.  This 9mm, Glock-magazine fed, pistol-caliber carbine is made from a billet upper and lower and ran anything we could fit in the magazine.  Properly scaled for 9mm, the receivers are a touch smaller than your standard AR-15.   When Freedom […]

DoubleStar ARC 300 tabletop Review ~VIDEO

DoubleStar ARC 300 Tabletop Review ~VIDEO

DoubleStar caught our attention with their Midnight Dragon.  that rifle out of the box is easily one of the most accurate factory rifles I’ve ever encountered.  If you’re doubting what a factory rifle can do see our range trip HERE before making any decisions.  DoubleStar’s ARC 300 is a rifle of a different flavor.  The […]

Canik TP9 DA Shots Fired~ VIDEO

Canik TP9 DA Shots Fired~ VIDEO

Century Arms has certainly kept us busy with the TP9 line of handguns.  These guns are made by respected Canik and borrow in design from Walther.  Like the CZ-inspired designs imported by TriStar Arms, Canik’s TP9 series carefully features just enough differences to keep them from being a complete clone.  While some may scoff this […]

Smith & Wesson M&P 10 Sport: VIDEO

Smith & Wesson M&P 10 Sport: VIDEO

AR-10s seem to be on the rise.  My theory is that everyone already has an AR-15 (or three) and are looking for something a little different.  .308 ammunition is plentiful, and if you shop smartly can be found for under $0.50 per round.  The extra whallop, increased hunting potential, and tribute to Eugene Stoner’s original […]

FMK Releases Elite Trigger Upgrade

While the FMK has not been too popular thanks to a rough launch, the latest version of the 9C1G2 runs.  If you’re not familiar with FMK they are a California-based handgun manufacturer.  That’s right, California.  The company is fighting the good fight by being the only handgun maker in the state.  As much as some […]

Kahr CM 45: Affordable and American Made

The list of options for those seeking a good handgun for concealed carry is a long one.  Friends suggest one gun, the guy at the gun shop another.  Deciding for yourself really is just that: decide for yourself.  Hammer or striker fired, external safety or not, single or double action and any combination of those […]

Finding the Perfect Handgun

Finding the Perfect Handgun: What You Want, What You Have, What You Need

There is what you want, what you have, and what you think you need. Ever wonder why there are so many makes and models of cars?  After all these years one would think that the ideal car, truck, van, etc would have already been designed.  It’s easy to laugh at such a thought when thinking […]

First Look: L2D Combat Parts for Glock

First Look: L2D Combat Parts for Glock

L2D Combat has emerged onto the scene of aftermarket Glock parts this year.  After four years of research and development and manufacturing parts for other companies they are now fully on their own and available to the public.  Unlike many other offerings for Glock L2D actually engineers and manufactures the parts. L2D Combat has emerged […]

American Tactical M1911 Military

American Tactical M1911 Military: 70 Series Style

The 1911 market is awash with options which can make it easy both to find exactly what you’re looking for and easy to get lost trying to pick one.  American Tactical M1911 Military stands out from the pack.   In March we saw Inland’s 1911 A1 Government which offered all the looks of a G.I. […]

Watch: Kahr K9; American Steel

I’ve had the opportunity to try more than the proverbial handful of handguns.  Kahr separates themselves from the crowd in a couple of ways.  First and foremost they are an American company manufacturing in the USA.  The manufacturing process is an impressive one.  Barrels start out as a special blend of steel three inches in […]
