RipsStock

CMMG RipsStock: Shortening your SBR

Short Barreled Rifles or SBR’s are all the rage. A recent series of articles from Loadout Room writer Rex Nanorum dives into just how short you can go with barrel length. On the other end of the rifle is the buttstock. One of the three main interfaces with a shooter’s body. And CMMG has a […]

Drop Point

Oakley Armed Forces Drop Point | A tribute to all the branches

With Veterans Day upon us, it’s hard for me not to think of my Father. He was a dedicated career Army officer that spent 27 years leading soldiers. And most likely the reason I decided to join the Army as well. Although I wasn’t drafted like he was, my journey started at Ft. Benning as […]

September Crate Club | Pro Crate | Unboxing & Review

This months PRO Crate has an interesting mix of contents. I can usually figure out where the Crate Club Gurus were going with each crate but not this one. It includes an eclectic mix of treasures. Exotac titanLIGHT | Cleared HOT!

Exotac titanLIGHT | Cleared HOT!

Exotac is the result of combining a Purdue educated engineer and a true love for everything outdoors. Their vision is, “based upon designing extraordinary, high-quality and unique outdoor and urban gear“. It’s a no compromise operation when it comes to product design and manufacturing. Operator Crate

September Crate Club | Operator Crate | Unboxing & Review

It’s that time of the month again! Crate Club unboxing and reviews. Due to relocating the Crate Club warehouse from the East Coast to Ohio, the September and October crates were combined and shipped together in October. So the agonizingly long wait is over. It wasn’t really that bad. Arriving on my doorstep was the […]

Hard Korr

Hard Korr Lighting | Powerful LED Lights from down under

When we’re Overland camping, the days don’t end just because the sun sets. In fact, some of the best times occur when only the stars and moon are out. Whether it’s accessing a remote location after sunset or drinking with friends around a fire, having the best lighting is a key component. Since 2008, Australia […]

Sunset Chair

Sunset Chair by Helinox | best lightweight camp chair option

At the end of the warmer season, I finally have time to post my camping gear reviews. Unlike some other sites, we actually field test the gear for a length of time to get the complete picture. Does it stand up through repeated use? Is “product x” the best design it could be? Is it […]

Bripe

Flashback to Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2017. Two guys from the Loadout Room walk into a massive convention center in Salt Lake City for the first time.
