Bose SoundTrue in-ear Headphones Reviewed

Bose SoundTrue in-ear Headphones

I’ve tried all the usual suspects: Skullcandy (nice brand but crappy), Sony, JVC, Apple, Beats, etc. I’ve lost more headphones than I have socks, and I’ve probably spent over a thousand dollars this year replacing them. I travel a ton and have found that the Bose Sound True headphone is the best by far for […]

The CZ 550

The CZ (Ceska zbrojovka “Czech Armory”) 550 is a solid rifle I’ll give it that for sure.  It is what I’d describe as a middle of the road “utility” gun.  In the SEAL Teams a “utility” weapon was one that you could use for multiple purposes (close quarter battle or sniper ops).  Mine came chambered […]

One Navy SEAL’s Review of Oakley’s Kitchen Sink Pack

Oakley is one of my favorite companies, and they’re one of the few large companies to keep their DNA and soul intact with the growth. Everyone I’ve met at the company is solid so it’s no surprise that this translates into good product. I mostly wear their glasses for the ballistic protection, and lately I’ve […]

Kill Cliff Energy & Recovery Drink

I’ve become less and less a fan of energy drinks that have flooded the market.  Mainly because they mostly have non-natural ingredients and enough caffeine and sugar to power a small Asian sweat shop for weeks. So I was a little skeptical (with a dose of optimism) when I received a batch to try and […]

Magpul’s Bad Ass iPhone Field Case

Magpul’s Bad Ass iPhone Field Case

Magpul sent me and the boys some of their new iPhone cases to T&E a month ago. I’ve been rocking one ever since (retired my clunky Otter Box). It just goes to show you that simplicity and sleek are good things. I’m a huge fan of this company (also founded by a former USMC Recon […]

Navy SEAL Sniper Rifles Explained

I just spoke with my friend and former SEAL Team 3 teammate Chris Kyle today. I called to ask him his advice regarding my own upcoming media tour with the release of my book April 10th. After a shooting the shit we ended up talking about the SOFREP TV show (well…we ended talking about beer […]

Arc’Teryx Bravo Jacket: Quick Review

I was initially going to review the Bravo personally but a week after receiving the jacket I signed an exclusive with Massif so I wanted to make sure the jacket got a fair unbiased review. That said, I did wear it for a week and fucking loved it. I had a hard time letting it […]

My Favorite War Boots: Zamberlan IDRA GT

There are some great boot companies out there (Asolo, Sportiva, etc) but Zamberlan is my personal favorite. These light hikers pictured are great for just that, I would also have no problem going on RECON with these boots.  They have great ankle and sole support (the sole matters). I humped a pair of the heavy weight […]

Two Things Wrong with Modern Sniper Rifles

This photo really says it all for me.  It’s not meant to pick on LaRue Tactical, I hear they make fine guns although I’ve never shot one. So what’s wrong with the sniper rifle of today? What’s plaguing an industry of copy cats and me too AR platforms? They are way too heavy and too […]
