American Tactical Conversion for Glock Mags: All You Need is an AR Lower

July 21, 2018 by Mark Miller Leave a Comment

AR Adapter for glock Style Mags: American Tactical Imports Does it Right

American Tactical’s new AR-15 conversion adapter will fit any Mil-Spec AR-15 556/223 lower and convert it to run a 9mm upper with no required modifications to the lower using glock pattern magazines! This cleverly conceived adapter is high quality and filled with features.

A key feature which sets the American Tactical adapter apart is last round bolt hold open. This basic feature is absent from many very expensive carbines. You don’t have to shoot like a communist.  The adapter inserts from the bottom and locks into place using the AR magazine catch.

The adapter requires NO modifications to your lower or magazines. The release for the Glock magazines, pictured below, is located at the base of the adapter just forward of the magazine. This 9mm AR adapter comes with one 31 round magazine.

AR Adapter for glock Style Mags: American Tactical Imports Does it Right

Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum, this durable mag well adapter has a built in magazine release for your Glock-style mags, locks in place with your standard AR-15 magazine catch, releases the same way AR mags do and has a bolt hold open feature that locks your bolt back after the last round.
One of the biggest problems with building a 9mm AR is parts compatibility. There is no standard or MILSPEC, so each manufacturer has a different take on parts specs. The Colt SMG pattern is very common, but the bolt does not work with Glock magazines. American Tactical makes things easy with their complete kits. Everything you need to turn your AR lower into a 9mm Pistol Caliber Carbine or AR pistol.
This 9mm AR adapter accepts Glock-style double stacked 9mm magazines and comes in 4 variations:
  • 7″ Keymod Rail w/ 10 round magazine
  • 7″ Keymod Rail w/ 31 round magazine
  • 13″ Keymod Rail w/ 10 round magazine
  • 13″ Keymod Rail w/ 31 round magazine

Made from 6061-T6 Aluminum, they only weigh 7 grams (.25 ounces). Even a light weight build can afford that.

The best part of the story is these devices are made  in Summerville, South Carolina, helping make ARs great again. Life time warranty!

You can buy a complete conversion kit with a 9mm upper or just the ATI AR adapter. You can get your very own ATI adapter HERE.
