Eight Carry Guns for Women (Men will like them too)

The fastest growing market segment in the firearms industry is women. Changes in laws recognizing the right to carry concealed have expanded the number of women carrying handguns across the country. We took a look at the market and what ladies are carrying and put together this list for your consideration.

Most people find that Inside the Waist Band  holsters provide the best concealment.  These guns are all particularly suited for self defense on body carry and concealment.

Smith and Wesson Model 638

The revolver is simple to operate and reliable. The gun`s cylinder capacity is 5. This type of gun has unloaded weight of 15.10 oz.

 

Springfield XD

This XD has a small grip which many women prefer. The firearm also has a very comfortable Ultra Safety Assurance Trigger. It also has an unloaded weight of between 26oz and 33oz. The variation in weight is due to the existence of different types of the gun.

Walther CPP

If you are in the quest for a gun that gives you comfort when shooting, then the Walther CPP is the best choice for you. The firearm has an SOFTCOILâ„¢ gas-delayed blowback which makes its recoil very minimal.

The gun has unloaded weight of 22.33oz and a magazine capacity of 8+1.

Walter CPP also has a slide that can easily be racked. This feature also makes it simpler to use.

Smith & Wesson M & P Shield

The Shield is comfortably concealable for every day carry.  The gun is also known due to its high level of reliability and its excellent design.

The M & P has an unloaded weight of between 17.9oz and 19.0oz and a magazine capacity of 6 or 8+1.

 

Ruger LCR

At times carrying a gun while walking around becomes irritating due to the poking that is brought about by the sharp corners. To stop this irritation,  the Ruger LCR has rounded edges that eliminate the poking nature of guns.

The gun has an average weight of 15.0oz and a cylinder capacity of between 5 and 8.

 

Ruger LC9s

The Ruger LC9s is also a perfect and excellent pistol choice for women. Slim and compact, the LC9 is a light weight favorite.

This gun has unloaded weight of 17.2oz and a magazine capacity of 7+1.

 

Kimber Pro Carry II

The Kimber Pro Carry II can also be easily hidden and has a manual safety. This implies no accidental discharges.

This gun has a weight of 28oz and a magazine capacity of 7+1

 

SIG Sauer P938

An improved version of the P238 (.380). Because of the small size, the gun can easily be hidden and is also a perfect choice for the ladies.

The SIG Sauer P938 has a weight of 16oz and a magazine of 6+1.

Guns are like shoes,you have to find a model that fits you. Borrow guns from friends or go to a range with rentals and try before you buy.
