Meet the SIG P227.
The SIG P227 is a full size pistol chambered in .45 ACP. The P227 carries 10+1 standard, or 14+1 with  the extended magazine.
This double stack .45 bears more than a passing resemblance to its 9mm predecessor, the P226, in fact, they share the same dimensions (7.7in long, 5.5in tall, and 1.5in wide). The P227 Nitron also shares the same nitron finish to the slide (with rail), and the frame of each pistol is black hard anodized aluminum. A feature unique to the SIG P227 is its one piece grip (as opposed to the two piece grips on the P226). This reduces the grip profile, so it feels like a .45 in the body of a 9mm.
