New Magpul Eyewear!

July 16, 2018 by The Loadout Room Leave a Comment

New Magpul Eyewear!

We build products for the real world, with every item designed for a unique mission that provides more value, simplicity, and features than anyone else. At Magpul, we’ve always felt strongly about eyewear because the need for reliable eye protection is rooted in our daily lives. Whether we’re at work or at play, we understand the demand for good-looking eyewear that protects us as across the range of activities that we and our customers engage in every day. As a result, we’ve created ballistic rated eyewear that’s engineered from quality materials and finished with an enduring design.

Terrain

The Design: The Terrain is designed for our most demanding customers, and it’s well suited for those who require ballistic and safety protection for maximum coverage in a larger frame that best fits medium to large faces. Constructed from TR90NZZ, the strongest thermoplastic material available for eyewear, the Terrain provides extreme impact resistance, durability, and flexibility in a lightweight package. The Terrain’s oleophobic-treated lenses shed liquid and won’t be degraded by water, sweat, or chemicals, and they’ve been both impact tested and safety rated, providing you with the all-around protection your eyes need. Its 8-base wrap and over molded anti-slip rubber nose and temple pads prevent slippage and make sure the Terrain stays put while you’re in motion. Its lenses come in a range of polarization, color and mirror options to give you the premium clarity and contrast you need from a great pair of shades, supporting many high energy activities in variable light conditions and environments, to include running, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. On the range, where high levels of ballistic protection are a must, the Terrain will exceed expectations. The design of the Terrain’s low-profile temples integrates well under helmets, headsets, and over-the-ear hearing protection, ensuring that you’re protected and able to perform naturally wherever you put them and yourself to the test.

Key Design Features:

  • Constructed of TR90NZZ, the frames combine lightweight construction and ballistic protection, providing rugged strength and flexibility
  • Ballistic Rated Z87+ lenses meet both high velocity impact protection and safety ratings
  • Oleophobic and anti-glare lenses repel liquids and provide oil, sweat, sunscreen, and other chemical protection
  • Low profile temples integrate with over-the-ear hearing protection and communication headsets
  • Coated stainless steel pins provide simple but dependable hinge functionality
  • Anti-slip rubber nose and temple pads

Summit

The Design: The Summit is designed for our most demanding customers, and it’s well suited for those who require ballistic and safety rated protection with coverage from a smaller frame than the Terrain, and is best suited for small to medium faces. Constructed from TR90NZZ, the strongest thermoplastic material available for eyewear, the Summit provides extreme impact resistance, durability, and flexibility in a lightweight package. The Summit’s oleophobic-treated lenses shed liquid and won’t be degraded by water, sweat, or chemicals, and they’ve been both impact tested and safety rated, providing you with the all-around protection your eyes need. Its 8-base wrap and over molded anti-slip rubber nose and temple pads prevent slippage and make sure the Summit stays put while you’re in motion. Its lenses come in a range of polarization, color and mirror options to give you the premium clarity and contrast you need from a great pair of shades, supporting many high energy activities in variable light conditions and environments, to include running, hiking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. Explorer

The Design: The Explorer is a casual design that incorporates high performance features for those times when you want both protection and style in your life and is suited for all face types. Constructed from TR90NZZ, the strongest thermoplastic material available for eyewear, the Explorer provides extreme impact resistance, durability, and flexibility in a lightweight package. Its oleophobic-treated polycarbonate lenses shed liquid and won’t be degraded by water, sweat, or chemicals. They are ballistic rated, providing you with the all-around protection your eyes need without the restriction of a tighter frame wrap. Its over molded anti-slip rubber nose and temple pads prevent slippage.
