Bogs Bozeman Tall | Rubber rain boot redefined

March 15, 2019 by Erik Meisner Leave a Comment

Bozeman Tall

“In every life, a little rain must fall.” I can’t remember which friend of mine growing up used to say that but it was uttered when someone experienced bad luck. Although rain is a fact of life, it doesn’t have to be associated with bad luck. Fortunately, when the heavens open up, proper rain gear and footwear can be just the luck you need to continue your mission. Bogs Footwear has been a staple in our closet for a few years now. Both my wife and I have enjoyed their lifestyle boots (Johnny Chucka II & Auburn Slip On) in less than ideal conditions. But I needed a full scale rubber slip on that I could use during our treacherous winters. And the Bozeman Tall Rain Boot looked to be just what the doctor ordered.

Measuring 14.5″ tall, the Bozeman can withstand the typical depth of snow or mud we see here. Plus, the 7mm Neo-Tech upper offers a comfort rating down to an amazing -72F. Not a temperature you’d find me outside but none the less, it’s pretty warm. The rubber lower is where the new tech is located. Bogs has created a new construction technique called Flowmold. This allows the lower to be formed as one single piece rather than several rubber pieces molded together with adhesives. This creates a 30% lighter boot and lack of any seam failures or delimitation found in conventionally constructed boots.

Bozeman Tall Details:

  • Height: 14.5″
  • Circumference: 13″
  • 100% waterproof
  • Durable hand last rubber with a four way stretch inner bootie
  • Made with Seamless Construction – 30% lighter than comparable boots and enhanced durability
  • Constructed with 7mm Neo-Tech waterproof insulation
  • Rebound technology in outsole provides lasting comfort
  • Lined with EveryDry and Bogs Max-Wick to evaporate sweat
  • Footbed features dual density EVA and DuraFresh for optimal comfort
  • Non-marking and self-cleaning BioGrip chemical and slip resistant outsole
  • Bogs Stabilizer provides natural fit and arch support
  • Comfort rated to -72F/-60C
  • MSRP $150

With ample amounts of snow in our region and sub zero temperatures at times, the Bozeman Tall has been a perfect boot for work around the house. Wether it be snow removal from the driveway and decks, shoveling the roof or even taking Kayla, our Husky out for a walk, the Bozeman Tall has kept my feet warm and dry. And now with spring on the horizon and warming temperatures, I see a lot of snow yet to melt. Making for a slushy and muddy couple of months in my future. So I’m not quite ready to put these boots away just yet.
