Smith and Wesson has responded to a demand for .22 LR pistol options by releasing a brand new M&P pistol: the S&W M&P22 Compact.
Yes, they’ve had the regular full-size M&P22 pistol out for a while. But now, those looking for a frame that’s a bit more snug to tote to the range will have something that better suits their needs. The new addition to the well-established M&P lineup is currently listed with a MSRP of $389.
I can definitely see some training benefits for those who already shoot the M&P compact pistols of larger caliber, namely for those who want to get some cheaper trigger time while still benefiting from a frame that feels like their current carry gun. Who among you carries or shoots an M&P compact who’d have an interest in the new M&P22 Compact?
Looks like I’m not the only one finding more .22 LR out there.
