Introducing Marathon’s new Anthracite Black Search & Rescue Diver’s Automatic wristwatch.
The sleek matte Anthracite IP coating on the watch case, bezel, and crown makes the classic GSAR model stealthy. At three times harder than steel, the coating also provides superior scratch protection.
Underneath is the classic GSAR (Global Search and Rescue) Dive watch, a bulletproof diver designed specifically for aquatic military use. The GSAR features a sturdy 41mm stainless steel case with a depth rating of over 1000 feet and a thick sapphire crystal to prevent scratching and cracks.
The new Anthracite black GSAR can be had with either the standard “U.S. Government” dial or a non-government dial.
The self-winding Swiss movement drives the three hand display and date window with easy to use quickset functionality. A large knurled screw-down crown protects the movement from water and allows for setting while wearing gloves.
Encapsulated Tritium (Isotope H3) light sources mark the cardinal directions on the dial and illuminate all hands. The unidirectional ratcheting bezel sports a MaraGlo triangle for viewing in low-light conditions.
