DoubleStar wasn’t messing around at this year’s NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits, debuting no less than four new products that are sure to appeal to discerning gear seekers: the ARFX V2, the Big Timber Brake (BTB), the C39 Receiver Block and the C39 V2 Receiver Block.

A revised version of the original ARFX, the hard coat anodized ARFX V2 stock sports seven QD sling points. As the press release notes ,there’s no need for a threaded sling adapter, as a standard push-button QD sling mount makes this skeleton stock ready for any single-point, two-point and three-point sling. This stock is made from 7075 T6 aluminum and uses a standard rifle buffer tube, making it a lightweight (11.3 oz) yet durable option if you’re looking to replace your original rifle stock. The stock 10 inches without a recoil pad but does include a ½” rubber recoil pad to soften recoil and aid in gripping the shooter’s shoulder, the press release says. If you need a slightly longer length of pull, it can be built without the pad or with a 1″ recoil pad. Finally, the included closed cell foam overtube ensures that the ARFX V2 will operate reliably in any weather condition. MSRP is $113.99.

Next up from DoubleStar is the black nitride coated steel Big Timber Brake, which weighs in at 4.8 oz. and measures 3″ in length. Not only is this product touted as a great muzzle control device, DoubleStar says it eliminates the gap between 15″ handguards and 16″ barrels. This brake is also counterbored .75″, allowing it to slide easily over lightweight and HBAR sized barrels for a smooth and clean appearance while eliminating muzzle rise. Available in ½ x 28 tpi and 5/8 x 24 tip for use on a majority of AR platform barrels, the Big Timber Brake has a MSRP of $99.99.
