Aorta Kukri Combat Knife

Aorta Kukri Combat Knife

March 10, 2017 by Loadout Room Guest Authors Leave a Comment

If you’re a knife enthusiast like me, then you will definitely want to check out the Aorta Kukri combat knife which is designed and created by Ret. Navy SEAL Clint Emerson.  This is an incredible knife that not only feels good in the hands but will also give you the confidence you need whether you carry it for combat or utility use.  The kukri blade is world-renowned for it’s design and is used for fighting, utility work and everyday carry by many Military units around the world.  What makes the Aorta Kukri blade great is it’s ability to make deep penetrating cuts while piercing with ease, as well as its ability to be moved quickly for offensive and defensive strikes.  The overall length of the knife including the handle is 12 inches which combines the best of a bowie and hunting blade that measures just over 6 inches.  Each individual knife is handmade and includes a custom Kydex sheath that allows for multiple carrying positions.

Aorta Kukri Combat Knife

I decided to try out one of these as I am always looking for a larger knife to carry with me other than my EDC pocket knife.  I came across Clint Emerson while reading his best-selling book “100 Deadly Skills” trying to become more familiar with tips and tricks to keep you alive in a stressful situation.  Clint pulls from his past training while in the SEAL Teams and provides a no-nonsense approach to staying alive when a situation goes bad.  After conducting several tests with the knife, I have ultimately decided that it will stay attached to my lower back and belt rig for ease of access while allowing me the ability to draw the blade for certain situations.  The 5 inch handle also comes pre wrapped with an olive drab 550 cord to maximize grip and protects the stone wash finish of the blade.

Aorta Kukri Combat Knife

All in all a great knife for a multitude of purposes.  These can be purchased from Clint Emerson’s website, Zero Trace Products for around $150.00.  I definitely recommend buying one.
